Men are four times as likely as women to want to have s**x on the first date
Personally, it takes me a while. Not because of prudishness, but because I’m so scared of being murdered that I wouldn’t go to anyone’s
home until I’d known them a few months.
This has never really been an issue because, thankfully, most of the people I date don’t have a problem with delaying se**y stuff.
Which makes sense, considering new research from YouGov Omnibus has found that the majority of British people aren’t up for having
s**x on the first date.
The study found that just one in five (18%) would be up for boning after the first date. So if you’re a little reluctant to slide into someone’s
bed a week after sliding into their DMs, you’re not alone.
One in eight people follow the ‘three date rule’, while one in seven want to wait until they’re in love. One in twenty Brits would hold off until
marriage.
Interestingly (if perhaps unsurprisingly), attitudes to having s**x on the first date differ between ages and genders.
Men are four times as likely as women to be up for sleeping together on the first date, while women are twice as a likely as men to say
they’d prefer to wait until they’re in love before having s**x with someone.
